Why we built it this way
Everyone is shouting "AI agents", but most of them don't work — they make costly mistakes, they hallucinate, lose context, and burn tokens doing things a simple API call could handle.
The reality is that an AI agent is not the only thing you need.
Most tasks are a mix of two kinds of steps. Some need AI to reason — slow, complex, expensive, but capable of handling ambiguity. Most just need to execute — fast, reliable, cheap, but they need to be told exactly what to do. "Triage this Sentry issue" is the first kind. "Send the results to Slack" is the second.
That's why Spawnbase gives the copilot building blocks — triggers, AI agents, and actions — and lets it assemble them into workflows on a visual canvas. The canvas is how you see what it built, tweak it, and watch it run.
How it works
Here's what building an agent looks like:
- Describe what you need — "Automate Sentry issue triage: pull source code from repos, check observability data, update Linear."
- Copilot architects the workflow — it picks the right building blocks, proposes the structure, and asks clarifying questions.
- Connect your tools — the copilot helps you add the apps you need (Sentry, Cloudflare, Linear, etc.)
- Test and debug — run it, inspect each step on the canvas, fix what's off.
- Deploy — set a schedule, flip it on. It runs without you.

What's live today
Triggers. Run your workflows on a schedule — daily, hourly, or any cron expression.
AI agents. Add AI reasoning to any workflow step. 200+ models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, xAI, and Cloudflare.
App integrations. Connect Slack, Linear, Sentry, GitHub, Stripe, and hundreds more. Spawnbase uses MCP (Model Context Protocol) under the hood — any app with an MCP server works out of the box, and the list is growing fast.
This is the foundation. More node types, more triggers, and multi-channel access are coming.
